   Who we are

Since our inception, we have taken an innovative approach towards teaching and research.

Our campuses are vibrant, welcoming spaces that value diversity and difference, emphasise industry connections and practical learning, have a strong commitment to social justice, and foster a forward-thinking culture for our students, staff and the wider community.

Curtin is WA’s most preferred university and is globally recognised for its strong connections with industry, high-impact research and wide range of innovative courses.

Our strong global reputation has seen us rise up the international university rankings in recent years. We’re now ranked in the top one per cent of universities worldwide in the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2017 and have risen to 262 in the world on the QS World University Ranking 2017-18.

We’re also ranked 20th globally for universities under the age of 50 in the QS World University Rankings 2019 and received a ve-star overall excellence rating in the QS Stars rating.

The 2018 Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) report also found that Curtin graduates with a postgraduate degree earned the highest salaries among their graduate peers in Western Australia.

    Campus locations

The suburb of Bentley, located about six kilometres south-east of central Perth, is home to Curtin’s largest campus. In close proximity to everything Perth has to offer, it boasts 116 hectares of bold architecture nestled amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. With thousands of students filling the campus grounds every day of the semester, there’s a real vibrancy to the place. Over the past decade, the campus has undergone some major changes, with a variety of stunning modern buildings now interspersed with the original 1960s architecture. Bentley campus offers the majority of Curtin courses.

In addition to our largest campus in Perth, we have campuses in Kalgoorlie, Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore as well as course delivery through more than 90 partner institutions worldwide.
