The year 2017 is the opening year of the last stage of our "442" strategic plan. As the pioneer and leader of the teaching reform of private higher education in China, Eurasia continues to adhere to the school running concept of "internationalization, application and new experience", actively promote the transformation of the university to an applied technology university, and its achievements have won the respect and recognition of the government, peers and society.

The selection activity of "Top 10 News Events Most Concerned by Teachers and Students in 2017" organized by the Brand Communication Department of our school ended recently. Finally, after the votes of teachers, students, alumni and netizens, and combined with expert comments, 10 news items, including "Eurasia has been ranked first in the" China Private University Ranking of Finance and Economics "on the website of China Alumni Association for five consecutive years", "Eurasia Economic Forum Education Branch was held in our school", were selected into the "Top 10 Eurasian News Events Most Concerned by Teachers and Students in 2017".

The following is a list of the top 10 news events that attracted the most attention of teachers and students in 2017:

1. Our university has won the first place in the "Ranking List of China's Private Universities of Finance and Economics" for five consecutive years.

On December 25, 2017, Erison China Alumni Association website released the 2018 China University Ranking List, which ranked the first in the "China Private University Ranking List of Finance and Economics" for five consecutive years. Eurasia also ranks fourth in the national ranking of private universities and first in Shaanxi with a high score of 99.63. Meanwhile, Eurasia also ranks among the "top private universities in China".

2. The two "Eurasians" meet! The Education Branch of the Eurasian Economic Forum was held in our school.

On September 21-22, 2017, the Education Branch of the Eurasian Economic Forum • the second "the Belt and Road" Forum on Industry Education Integration and Enterprise Internationalization Development was held in our school. Nearly 500 people from more than 160 universities, 9 scientific research institutes, 95 enterprises, 14 government agencies and social organizations, and 8 foreign institutions participated in the forum. Professor Hu Jianbo, the president of our university, delivered a speech entitled "University Reform and Innovation Based on Design Thinking" at the opening ceremony.

The branch set up four parallel sub forums to focus on the extensive dialogue between the political, business and academic circles. The trinity exchange mode of "report+case+dialogue", 5 home reports, 12 theme reports, 20 case sharing, and 2 high-end dialogues, is rich and diverse in depth exchanges, helping to build a new pattern of international talent training and education cooperation.

3. The recruitment advertisement of our school appeared in Xi'an Metro, which attracted much discussion, and was selected as the most favorite copy in the first half of the advertising circle.

On July 19, 2017, our school's brand advertisement appeared in the North Railway Station, Administrative Center, North Street, Xiaozhai, Convention and Exhibition Center and other stations along Xi'an Metro Line 2 during the enrollment season. The small and fresh style+copywriting made people refreshing and attracted passers-by to stop and watch. Our university is also the first local university to enter the subway since the opening of Xi'an Metro.

"Grow as you are", "Build your garden" and other advertising texts choose the topics of President Hu Jianbo's graduation speeches over the years, which represent Eurasian values and also convey the good idea of education. "Grow as you are" was also included in the "Favorite Copywriting in the First Half of 2017" No.1 in the advertising circle.

4. The work "Aerial Photography of Shaanxi", which was designed by the students of literature and biography, has become popular on the Internet, highlighting the highlights of the reform of Eurasian architecture.

On May 9, 2017, the "Discovery" column of the Western Network released the graduation design work "Aerial Photography of Shaanxi" by Zhang Shinan and Yang Nan, the 2013 journalism majors of the Eurasian Institute of Culture and Media. Later, it was widely spread on the network and was praised by many people. This film brings together Zhang Shinan and his team to measure the land of Sanqin with drones for one year, and take pictures of the beautiful scenery from the sky perspective. In the video, not only is Shaanxi's history and modernity mutually reinforcing, tradition and fashion perfectly integrated, but also young people dance their youth and constantly soar.

In recent years, the graduation design or thesis of Eurasian students is not an industry university research project of "doing the real thing", but a design work that shows the comprehensive application ability learned in the university for four years. On the scene of the oral defense, not only cooperative enterprises and authoritative experts are invited to serve as judges in the school, but also students are allowed to enter the enterprise scene for oral defense to experience the real workplace assessment environment. This graduation defense design not only has many highlights, but also has been praised by teachers, judges and enterprises, which reflects the continuous progress of Eurasian applied education and teaching reform towards the deep-water area.

5. Professor Hu Jianbo, the president of our university, was awarded the "University President Favored by Students in 2016".

"Pepper" people, look! On the morning of January 7, 2017, the "2016 Student Favorite University Presidents" selection and award ceremony jointly sponsored by the China Association of Higher Education, the China Youth Daily and the All China Students Federation was held in Shunde, Guangdong. Professor Hu Jianbo, the president of our university, was awarded the "University President Favored by Students in 2016".

The organizer's award speech to President Hu Jianbo wrote: "Xu Xiaoping called him an educational dreamer with foresight and long-term vision for China's education. His colleagues called him a 'philosopher of China's private education', but he described himself as an 'unreliable' educator. He hoped to establish a private university 'based on the healthy growth and lifelong happiness of every student' with the feelings and realm of a real educator."

6. Four majors of our school have been selected into the list of "first-class majors" in Shaanxi universities, and the School of Logistics and Trade has been rated as the pilot school of innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.

On September 30, 2017, the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province issued the Notice on Publishing the Selection Results of "First class Major" in Shaanxi Universities (SJ [2017] No. 355). The four majors, including "Finance", that our school applied for were approved as "First class Major" in Shaanxi universities. Among them, "finance" is a construction project, and "software engineering", "financial management" and "e-commerce" are cultivation projects.

In addition, on June 8, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education determined the construction project of the pilot college (department) of innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in colleges and universities in 2017, and the School of Logistics and Trade of our school was successfully selected. In recent years, the School of Logistics and Trade has achieved outstanding results in innovation and entrepreneurship education reform. It has built an innovation and entrepreneurship teaching system and content with the "3+4" model as the basic framework, and built a practice teaching base for employment and entrepreneurship of Tmall students, Ali Small Post Office and other innovation and entrepreneurship training bases. 8. In 2017, our school added 3 regional and industrial alumni associations to help alumni grow.

In 2017, the alma mater continued to increase its concern and support for the development of alumni, guided the alumni association to form a closed-loop benign operation mechanism, and earnestly did a good job in the work of "guidance+service" to provide more high-quality and scientific services, support and help for alumni. The Eurasian Alumni Association has successively held the "Looking Back, My 1999" - the return activity of Grade 99 alumni, and established Zhejiang Alumni Association, Shaanxi Leisure Management Industry Alumni Club and Shaanxi Construction Industry Alumni Club. The alumni association is committed to becoming an interactive platform for alumni resources and providing effective and useful services for alumni.

9. The Eurasian version of Chengdu has sung tens of thousands of alumni 'sentiments, creating a new record of official WeChat hits.

At the beginning of 2017, the singer Zhao Lei's "Chengdu" became popular all over the country overnight, and the adaptation craze broke out all over the country. On February 13, the Eurasian version of Chengdu, created by the Eurasian student band Man Wudi Band, premiered on the official microblog. The microblog, Netease Cloud Music and other clients simultaneously released lyrics with Eurasian scenes, touching the tear glands of countless Eurasians and detonating the circle of friends.

This song has also set a new historical high in the number of Eurasian official WeChat readers. Up to now, it has received 68000 reads and more than 820 messages. As a result, Eurasian official WeChat has been listed on the weekly list of China Youth Daily's WeChat ranking of colleges and universities, ranking first in Shaanxi.

10. The Eurasian girl helped Chinese writers gain media attention on the winter night and was awarded the title of "Eurasian Virtue Youth".

On December 23, 2017, People's Daily Overseas Edition published an article entitled Winter Night in the Ancient City. In this article, associate professor Li Yan, a famous Chinese writer and president of the Confucius Institute at the University of Waterloo in Canada, told the story of being helped by two enthusiastic Eurasian girls when they came to Xi'an to attend the conference in early December last year, but did not record their names and contact information. Later, Li Yan sought help from the media and the school to find the two girls.

On January 9, 2018, two kind-hearted girls were finally found. They were Zhang Yujie from Class 1703 and Zhang Hui from Class 1501 of the Eurasian Institute of Accounting. People's Daily Overseas Edition and Shaanxi TV Station reported the story of the two students again. Speaking of the "action" of that night, they said that it was just a matter of doing nothing. Small actions spread positive energy. The school awarded them the honorary certificate of "2017 Eurasian Youth of Virtue". May this warm power be passed on all the time.
