Xi'an Eurasia University Gains Approval from Ministry of Education for Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Fund Project and Youth Fund Project

Recently, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education announced the Evaluation Results of General Research Projects on Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education in 2023. Teacher Ding Li from the School of Culture & Media and teacher Ge Zhemin from the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering of Xi'an Eurasia University gained approval for the humanities and social sciences planning fund project of the Ministry of Education and the youth fund project of the humanities and social sciences western region project of the Ministry of Education, respectively. The approval of these projects is an important embodiment of the gradual improvement of Xi'an Eurasia University's scientific research strength, and also a phased achievement of the two teachers' efforts in academic accumulation.

Teacher Ding Li's project Research on Innovation of Shadow Puppetry Art and Cultural Industry Value Chain from the Perspective of AIGC aims to study the application of artificial intelligence technology in shadow puppetry art and the cultural industry, explore the innovative model and realization path of shadow puppetry art and cultural industry value chain, and provide new theoretical and practical guidance for promoting the development of the cultural industry. Teacher Ge Zhemin's project Research on the Overall Design of Rural Cultural Tourism Spatial Pattern in Xi'an Metropolitan Area Based on Spatio-temporal Big Data aims to use spatial and temporal big data technology to study the spatial pattern and development trends of rural cultural tourism in Xi'an Metropolitan Area, put forward the overall design scheme and implementation strategy of rural cultural tourism space, and provide theoretical support and practical reference for promoting rural revitalization and urban-rural integration.

The Office of Academic Research of Xi'an Eurasia University has paid attention to the improvement of young teachers' scientific research and social service capabilities, actively provided them with various opportunities for ability improvement training and practical project drills, provided targeted guidance from internal and external experts according to their professional fields, and improved platforms such as policy building engineering centers and scientific research teams to provide key support for teachers in key development directions and fields. Teacher Ge Zhemin is also a member of the Shaanxi University Engineering Research Center and the Architectural Construction Technology Innovation Team. At the initial stage, he took university-level scientific research funds as the starting point for research. Since then, Ge has presided over 4 sub-provincial projects and gained approval for Xi'an Social Science Fund Projects for two consecutive years. In recent years, teacher Ding Li has gained approval for the annual project of the Shaanxi Social Science Fund, Shaanxi Art Science Planning Project, Shaanxi Education Science Planning Project, and Scientific Research Plan of the Department of Education. Xi'an Eurasia University will continue to support the project research work of the two teachers and expects their project teams to achieve more fruitful results in future research.

As a local application-oriented undergraduate university, Xi'an Eurasia University has been committed to supporting the development of applied scientific research with practical value. It focuses on developing teaching academics, applied academics, and integrated academics, serving the local economy, culture, education, urban construction, and international exchanges, and expanding its services to key industries. The approval of various high-level projects of late not only directly reflects Xi'an Eurasia University's achievements in scientific research management in recent years, but also marks that its applied scientific research achievements have been preliminarily recognized externally. The Office of Academic Research will continue to pay attention to the cultivation of young teachers' scientific research and social service ability to support or ensure the sustainable development of Xi'an Eurasia University's scientific research and social service work in our university.

Ding Li, female, is an Associate Editor-in-Chief, Director of the Digital Publishing Major at Xi'an Eurasia University, and Leader of the Digital Publishing Course Design Group, and holder of the National Professional Qualification Certificate for Press and Publication, Special Technical Certificate for Information Communication Industry issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Media Designer Certificate issued by Beijing Founder Electronics Co., Ltd. In the past three years, Ding Li has focused on "digital publishing and cultural digitization", and applied for and obtained approval for four scientific research projects at or above the provincial level, including one funded by the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Fund and one funded by Shaanxi Provincial Social Sciences Fund. She has published nearly 10 scientific research articles, including one in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), two in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), and one in the Engineering Index (EI). She won the second prize for scientific research achievements of Xi'an Eurasia University. She has published one textbook, applied for and obtained approval for one provincial characteristic course, one provincial first-class course, and two school-level key courses, and won the third prize of Shaanxi Provincial Teaching Design Innovation Competition.

Ge Zhemin is a lecturer and engineer at the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering of Xi'an Eurasia University, a Ph.D. candidate at Xi'an Jiaotong University, a member of the Architectural Society of China, a member of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, and a research fellow of the Shaanxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Urban Construction. In recent years, Ge has focused on research in the field of rural cultural tourism planning and industrial development, presided over and participated in 9 scientific research projects, including 2 provincial projects and 4 sub-provincial projects. Ge won the first prize of Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences of Shaanxi Province, and the third prize of Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Province. Ge has published many journals and conference papers that have been reproduced in full by the People's University of China and included in the EI.
