College introduction

Founded in 1839, the University of Missouri was the only of its kind on the banks of the Mississippi River back then and now has four campuses. The University of Missouri Columbia is one of the top 100 universities in the United States. It is the only university among the 34 in the state that has been recognized as a world-class university group. It is also a member of the Association of American Universities, an academic star university selected by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and a world-class university.

The University of Missouri has now developed into the well-known University of Missouri system, with four campuses respectively in Columbia, Rolla, Kansas City and St. Louis. The University of Missouri Columbia covers the largest area and has the highest academic competence. It is the major component of the University of Missouri.
