Northern University of Malaysia (Universiti Utara Malaysia, UUM) is a public university located in Sintok Kedah Darul Aman, Malaysia. UUM was established on February 16, 1984 by virtue of the Decree of the University of the North of Malaysia of 1984 and changed to a corporate university on April 23, 1998. The university was founded to train talents with leadership and management skills for the country. Therefore, this university is also a management university.

Location:

UUM is located in Kedah, northern Malaysia, bordering Thailand. It enjoys a tropical climate with a perennial temperature of 21-31 degrees. Langkawi, known as "Oriental Hawaii", is here. The university campus is huge, reaching 16,000 mu. The whole university is surrounded by tropical rain forests. It is the most beautiful university in Malaysia with nearly 30,000 students.


School enrollments:About 25,000. UUM is also an international university with more than 450 international students from all over the world.
