Founded in 1940 in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Sejong University is a comprehensive private university, and the first university in Korea to offer a major in Hotel Tourism. This major was successfully developed into the College of Hospitality Tourism Management in 1998 with three subordinate majors: Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism. Sejong University stands as one of the most prestigious universities in hotel, restaurants and tourism management in Korea. Besides, College of Business and Economics of Sejong University is a major accredited by the world's most authoritative AACSB, with only 5% of business schools around the world accredited by AACSB. In addition, its dance, cartoon and animation and other majors are also among the leading majors in South Korea.
