College introduction

Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Germany. It is home to 10,000 students, 320 professors and more than 40 majors. Its majors and scientific researches cover Engineering Science, Mathematics, Information Science and Informatics, Economy, Social Sciences and Social Work, Architecture, Media and Design and other disciplines.

Over the years, Darmstadt University of Applied Science has become increasingly international in its curriculum and research. It enjoys a new university feature of 18% foreign students. In addition to a wide range of language courses, the university offers six specialized courses teaching in English, including Electrical Engineering, two Master of Business Administration courses, two media courses jointly with a university in Ireland and the International Master of Computer Science (JIM) with several universities in the United States and Australia. It cooperates with more than 100 foreign universities in teaching and scientific research, and encourages all students to enrich their study careers by learning in foreign partner universities or internships in foreign partner enterprises. Students are also likely to graduate with a PhD from partner universities in the UK, Ireland and other countries.

Over the past five years, researchers at Darmstadt University of Applied Science have initiated more than 20 research programs together with their international partners. European partners include Spain, Sweden, France and Finland. In addition, partners from outside Europe have also participated in research programs on the market conditions of German enterprises in fast-growing economic regions such as China and Brazil.
