The University of South Australia (UniSA) is one of the five major polytechnic universities in Australia, located in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. university is listed as a first-class university in South Australia by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CQAHE) designated by the Australian government. It is the largest university in South Australia, with a total of nearly 32,000 students, of whom 9,000 are from more than 80 overseas countries. There are undergraduate and postgraduate programs, offering 290 internationally recognized degree programs.

The University of South Australia ranked 69th in the THE World University Rankings in terms of engineering and technology majors and top 6 in Australia in 2015, making it the only university in the Adelaide region to achieve this achievement.
