Cardiff Metropolitan University was founded in 1865. It is the famous University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC). The university is located in the center of Cardiff, the capital of Wales, England, and adjacent to the well-known Cardiff University, a member of the Russell Group. Its current honorary trustee is His Royal Highness Prince Charles, now the Prince of Wales.
