College introduction

The University of Arizona was founded in 1885 with its main campus in Tucson, Arizona. It is the flagship public university and the first comprehensive university in the state, a world-class research university and one of the prestigious "Public Ivy League" universities in the United States. It has the top business schools in the United States, and its overall strength ranks among the top 50 in the United States, of which the undergraduate education strength of business schools ranks among the top 20 in the United States. Alumni and staff of University of Arizona has won five Nobel Prizes, two Pulitzer Prizes, and 28 Sloan Research Prizes. There are 29 academicians of the United States National Academy of Sciences, 18 academicians of the United States National Academy of Engineering, 26 academicians of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and 109 academicians of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in the university. Its optical research center is one of the three major optical centers in the United States and one of the best optical centers in the world. Its management information system (MIS) major, together with MIT and Carnegie Mellon University, is known as the MIS three giants.
