한양대학교Hanyang University was formerly known as the DongA Engineering Institute established in 1939 by Dr. Kim Lyun-joon, a South Korean industrialist, and renamed as Konkuk Technical School in 1945. In July 1948, it was renamed Hanyang Engineering College. In 1959, it was upgraded to a comprehensive university and renamed Hanyang University.
Hanyang University is a comprehensive university developed from a polytechnic university. The university ranked 3rd in the comprehensive ranking of South Korean universities in the Korea JoongAng Daily, 146th in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, and 24th in Asia [3]. It ranked 1st in universities of South Korea and 23rd in World University Rankings by Lens Impact Index in Nature Index 2017.
