<span color:#333333;"="">Macau University of Science and Technology is the largest comprehensive private university in Macau. Founded in 2000, it has the right to grant doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. It has ten colleges and dozens of scientific research institutes, with more than 14,000 students, including about 4,700 postgraduates. Macau University of Science and Technology ranked 17th in the "Ranking of Universities in China's Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan in 2021" jointly released by the Institute of Higher Education of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Ranking, and remained 1st in Macau for 6 consecutive years. In 2020, Macau University of Science and Technology participated in the ranking of Asian universities in Times Higher Education for the first time, ranking 32nd among Asian universities. It ranked among the top 300 universities in the world in 2020 and 2021 by Times Higher Education for two consecutive years.
