On May 11, 2023, Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College, co-built by the School of Business Administration of Xi'an Eurasia University and Fosun Tourism Group, was successfully signed and officially inaugurated. As the first modern industry college officially inaugurated by Xi'an Eurasia University, it marks that Xi'an Eurasia University has taken a higher level in deepening industry-education integration and promoting school-enterprise cooperation.

With the continuous deepening of industrial transformation and upgrading, cultural tourism integration, and the integrated development trend of the tourism industry, exhibition industry, sports industry, and other industries under the concept of “tourism +”, the market demand for talents has fundamentally changed. Inter-disciplinary talents in culture, sport, and tourism have been increasingly valued as the core elements boosting industrial development. The School of Business Administration of Xi’an Eurasia University is keen to capture industry trends, continuously cooperate with cutting-edge enterprises, and constantly explore new talent training models.
As one of the world’s leading groups committed to comprehensive tourism and leisure, Fosun Tourism Group operates nearly 70 resorts in more than 40 countries and regions on six continents. Its high-level development pattern, international business orientation, application-oriented talent training concept, and diversified industrial scale are of practical significance to the School of Business Administration for promoting school-enterprise cooperation and collaborative education.
After several rounds of investigation and negotiation, the two sides formally joined hands to establish Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College, Shaanxi’s first-ever cultural, sports, and tourism-integrated industrial college.

Jointly built by the School of Business Administration of Xi’an Eurasia University and Fosun Tourism Group, Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College adheres to the principle of “educating people first, serving industrial development, and integrating industry and education”, aiming to build itself into a first-class high-quality application-oriented and innovative talent training highland for modern culture and sports tourism in Northwest China.
The School of Business Administration will focus on tourism management, exhibition economy and management, and sports economy and management. Based on its existing off-campus practice-based training bases, it will work with Fosun Tourism Group to create a model of industry-education integration in Northwest China for cultural tourism, sports, and exhibitions. The two sides will jointly improve the quality of discipline and major construction, innovate talent training models and practical teaching environment, and collaboratively build application-oriented faculty and high-quality internship and employment empowerment platforms. They will actively serve local social and economic development goals, build a more professional broad platform for the development of application-oriented undergraduate talents, and continuously contribute to the development of culture, sports, and tourism industry.

Wang Yan, Assistant to the President of Xi’an Eurasia University, extended a warm welcome and gratitude to the enterprise representatives attending this event. She pointed out that Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College is one of the critical industrial colleges for Xi’an Eurasia University, an important measure to build a new talent training model with deep integration of industry and education, and also strong support for realizing the beautiful vision of “empowering enterprises, students and teachers”. The university attaches great importance to constructing Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College from top to bottom. In the future, it will continue to increase investment to support its achievements, highlights and characteristics.
Wang Yan introduced the history of Xi’an Eurasia University, its “student-centered” schooling philosophy, and its “values-oriented” schooling concept for the next decade. She also fully elaborated on the development course, development orientation, professional characteristics, and talent training objectives of the School of Business Administration, focusing on the talent training model of tourism management major groups and the cooperation model of industrial colleges.

Wang Xue, Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer of Fosun Tourism Group Headquarters and the group, introduced the development history of Fosun Tourism Group to the guests. Wang Xue introduced that over the past 30 years since its establishment, Fosun has achieved rapid development through “in-depth industrial operation + industrial investment”, deep industry cultivation, and continuous innovation, firmly grasping the opportunities and momentum of economic growth in China and the world.
Regarding Fosun Tourism Group’s talent development system, Wang Xue said that there were two kinds of assets in Fosun: physical assets and talent. For the group, the most important asset is people. Hence, Fosun has created a talent outlook of “attracting people with development, training people in work, assessing people by KPI, and uniting people with career.” Fosun Tourism Group’s business scope, talent outlook, and training system, especially its training to management trainees, can be furthered with its collaboration with Xi’an Eurasia University. They will also invigorate Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College.
At the signing and unveiling ceremony, Wu Rui, Deputy Dean of School of Business Administration, represented the school and signed the Agreement on the Co-construction of Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College with Fosun Tourism Group. Chen Zhe, Assistant Dean of School of Business Administration, and Fosun Tourism Group jointly unveiled the establishment of Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College.

Xi’an Eurasia University and Fosun Tourism Group have also engaged in mutual employment. Wang Yan, Assistant to the President of Xi’an Eurasia University and Dean of School of Business Administration, and Wu Rui, Deputy Dean of School of Business Administration, were employed as academic lecturers of Fosun Tourism Group.

The year 2023 is a key year for Xi’an Eurasia University to connect the past and the future in response to the 14th Five-year Plan and a year of quality contribution for the university to forge ahead. The establishment of Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College is not only a part of the university’s strategic planning in accordance with “accelerating the development of modern industrial system” but also an important measure to promote high-quality development and enterprise talent cultivation. It will promote the integration of industry, university, research, transformation, innovation, and application and build a comprehensive, mutually beneficial, and win-win platform for talent cultivation innovation.
Relying on their respective resource advantages, the university and enterprise will expand the space field, establish a long-term operation mechanism and management model for the college’s development, jointly build an innovation mechanism for industrial talent cultivation, share diversified cooperation resources and achievements, improve the industry-university-research integration mechanism, promote joint construction, joint management, and sharing of resources, realize sustainable and connotative innovative development of Fosun Tourism Culture Industry College, cultivate practical, compound, and innovative talents, and contribute more to regional economic development.
