[Focus on Eurasia] Eurasian girls helped Canadian Chinese female writers win praise on the winter night and were awarded "Eurasian Virtue Youth"
2018-01-10

Two days ago, Li Yan, an associate professor of Chinese descent at the University of Waterloo, Canada, published an article entitled Winter Night in the Ancient City in the Overseas Edition of the People's Daily, which described that she attended a meeting in the ancient city of Xi'an and received the help of two girls from our school. It is also because of the enthusiasm of these two girls that our school is once again presented to the world in a positive way. After hearing the news, the school did not spare no effort to find these two enthusiastic Eurasian girls on the overseas edition of People's Daily through WeChat, Nailing and other channels. It was on January 9 that the two warm-hearted Eurasian students finally found their way.

These two girls are Zhang Yujie from Class 1703 of the Accounting School of our school and Zhang Hui from Class 1501 of the Accounting School. According to their introduction, they learned that they were looking for them on campus because they saw the information sent by the counselor. According to their description, in the morning, they were going to go shopping in Xiaozhai together, and found the lady in need of help on the way. They said that when they saw that the lady needed help, they didn't want to help her too much. When they couldn't help her get a taxi, they helped her get a ride through the taxi app. When asked about their helpfulness, they appeared in the People's Daily Overseas Edition, and the school attached great importance to finding them. They said shyly that at that time, they just thought it was a small matter, and they didn't expect such a big response. For this reason, our school affirmed and encouraged their behavior, and awarded them the honorary certificate of the title of "Virtuous Youth".

Life is like this. It inadvertently conveys warmth. Although it is not a story that moves the world, it is our hearts that move. The Eurasian girl used her own practical actions to promote the truth, goodness and beauty of the world, and conveyed the positive energy of the society. Her kindness not only reflected the noble moral sentiments of Eurasians, but also reflected the school's emphasis on the comprehensive quality of students.
