School of General Education

University, which undertakes the construction, reform, and teaching management and implementation of the General Basic Courses, Eurasia DNA Courses, and General Elective Courses. It adheres to providing students with a high-quality liberal arts education. It is committed to improving students' knowledge structure, expanding their abilities in various areas, and enhancing their literacy to cultivate talents. At the same time, the School of General Education also provides diverse spiritual and cultural output for all students and faculty through various cultural and sports activities.

Since 2011, the School of General Education has completed a comprehensive reform of the public foundation curriculum based on research and study of well-known institutes at home and abroad. Focusing on the solving ability, communication ability, lifelong learning ability, cultivation and moral reflection, and global vision, it has built a new general education curriculum system and developed more than 90 general education courses for students around these five core competencies, which not only enriches the "menu" of general education courses but also makes our talent cultivation goals clearer and more targeted. We have carried out a comprehensive reform of the course content and teaching methods, giving a new learning experience to students.

The School of General Education attaches importance to team building and takes many effective measures to strengthen faculty construction. After years of teaching reform and practice, it has initially built a teaching team and curriculum reform team led by professors, with full-time teachers as the main body and middle-aged and young teachers as the main force, making the team more reasonable in age, education background, and title. The institute has established three curriculum centers, several curriculum reform teams, and project groups focusing on the five core competency modules. Each curriculum team implements project management and strengthens the management and guidance of curriculum reform. The establishment of the project teams stimulates the collision of ideas among the teachers during the curriculum reform.
