With "university-enterprise integration" and "internationalization" as its features, the School of Information Engineering faces the future development of science, technology, and industry; it builds a new engineering education and training platform that is interdisciplinary and open to all, guided by the employment standards of Information Communication Technology. Deepen the collaborative education among multiple parties, and promote the integration between domestic and international training, industry and academia, and the collaboration among teaching, learning, and research. 58% of the faculty are vice professors; 15% earn doctoral degrees; all have master's degrees or higher, and 41% own industry backgrounds.

The School of Information Engineering actively explores and practices the new model of integrating school and enterprise to cultivate engineering talents. We have established stable cooperative relationships with more than ten well-known ICT enterprises at home and abroad, such as Huawei, SAP, ZTE, Thoughworks, Alibaba, Tencent, and Datang Mobile. We have built more than 20 experimental practicing rooms, including Huawei Technology Lab, Alibaba Cloud Computing Development Training Room, SAP Innovation Education Lab, ZTE Corporation Training Base, Sangfor Network Security Training Room, and ThoughtWorks Joint Innovation Studio, which improves students' professional skills and makes what they learn close to the needs of top-tier companies, thus achieving a seamless link between our university and industry.

The School of Information Engineering establishes an international curriculum system, teaching quality standards, and education and teaching space, deeply promotes the international development of talent cultivation, carries out various modes of exchanges and cooperation with more than ten foreign universities, such as the United States, Britain, France, and Germany as well as internationalized enterprises, adopts various forms such as international study, international enterprise internship, exchange students, international competitions and scientific research, forms multi-level and multi-disciplinary international development of teachers and students, and improves students' international competitiveness.
