Vice President Sun Jianrong and His Delegation Attend the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024 and Visit Multiple Universities in Hong Kong and Macao

To further enhance Xi'an Eurasia University's international influence and educational quality, Vice President Sun Jianrong of Xi'an Eurasia University and his delegation went to the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) to attend the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024 held from November 5 to 7. The delegation also visited the University of Macau, the MUST, the City University of Macau, and the University of Hong Kong. Assistant Zhao Junjing to the President, Director Zhang Ping of the Teaching Quality Evaluation Center, and Director Ding Jie of the International Cooperation and Exchange Center were in the delegation.

The QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024, centered on "Shifting Landscape, Collaborative Solutions: Pioneering Innovation in Asia Pacific Higher Education," brought together over 1,200 on-site and online participants, including leaders from more than 300 top universities and institutions worldwide. Through a series of carefully curated academic lectures and interactive activities, the event not only provided a platform for exchange but also promoted deep cooperation and mutual learning among higher education institutions globally, facilitating joint efforts in advancing the innovative development of global higher education.

At the summit sub-forum, Sun Jianrong delivered a presentation titled "Review of Curriculum Design and Implementation Based on the OBE Concept." He shared Xi'an Eurasia University's practices and explorations in the field of educational internationalization, showcasing the university's open and inclusive academic atmosphere and its relentless pursuit of high-quality education. At the same time, the university also established contact with QS to further explore possible future cooperation.

Subsequently, Sun Jianrong and his delegation visited the University of Macau, the MUST, the City University of Macau, and the University of Hong Kong. The delegation conducted in-depth discussions with the University of Macau and the City University of Macau on topics such as academic research cooperation, faculty and student exchange programs, and joint curriculum design, jointly exploring new models of cross-regional educational cooperation. At the MUST, the delegation toured the university's advanced teaching facilities and research laboratories. They also engaged in in-depth discussions with the university's management on building an international quality assurance system, exploring ways to enhance educational quality and students' international competitiveness through international collaboration. At the University of Hong Kong, the delegation focused on exchanging ideas regarding the protection of academic freedom, the development of research ethics, and mechanisms for international cooperation, gaining valuable insights for Xi'an Eurasia University to build a more open and efficient academic environment.

Through face-to-face exchanges with internationally renowned universities, the delegation members not only broadened their international perspective but also brought back advanced international educational concepts and management experiences, injecting new momentum into Xi'an Eurasia University's construction of an international quality assurance system.

In the future, Xi'an Eurasia University will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with universities around the world by means of academic exchanges, teacher and student visits, joint research, and other activities. The university will continually introduce high-quality educational resources to promote educational innovation and development, contributing to the cultivation of high-quality talent with an international perspective and competitiveness.
