Xi'an Eurasia University Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with PMI

On the morning of April 27, Xi'an Eurasia University and the world-renowned Project Management Institute (PMI) held a school-enterprise cooperation meeting in the east conference room on the first floor of the Administrative Center. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cooperation in the field of project management education, reached consensus on several issues, and signed memorandums of cooperation.

Chen Yongtao, Vice President of the PMI, and Bai Junjiang, Director of Chinese Affairs of the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), attended the meeting together with PMI's Business Director Liu Shizhong, Key Account Director Jin Zhiwei, Community Manager Liu Wanjie, Marketing Manager Chen Zifei, and Activity Manager Duanmu Fuxin. Attendees from Xi'an Eurasia University included Vice President Zhang Lefang, Fang Fang, Deputy Dean of the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering, Jin Yanying, Deputy Dean of the School of Vocational Education, Ma Liping, Assistant to Dean of the School of Data Science, Yu Dan, Assistant to Director of the Career Development and Enterprise Cooperation Department, and Xi Ying, Assistant to Director of the Office of Academic Research.

Jin Zhiwei introduced the main business of PMI and related contents such as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and the Project Management Professional (PMP). He said that PMI has been committed to promoting the professional development of project management and creating a broad development platform for project management personnel by providing globally recognized standards and certifications.

Zhang Lefang said that Xi'an Eurasia University is committed to cultivating high-quality talent with an international vision and innovative ability under the guidance of the "employer-oriented and student-centered (ESC)" educational concept. The cooperation with the PMI will further improve the teaching quality and employment competitiveness of the students, laying a solid foundation for their future career development.

At the meeting, Zhang Lefang and Chen Yongtao signed a memorandum of cooperation on behalf of the two sides. Both sides agreed to integrate CAPM into the teaching system of relevant majors in the university, so as to help students obtain internationally recognized professional certification when graduating and promote their overseas internship and employment. The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on the introduction of PMP and the optimization of project management curriculum, and reached a cooperation intention. In addition, the two sides also planned to carry out extensive cooperation in project management education seminars, project management community activities, lifelong development of alumni and other fields to jointly promote the development of project management education.

This meeting has built a closer cooperation platform for the university and the PMI, and also injected new vitality and momentum into the future development of project management education. In the future, the two sides will work together to make positive contributions to cultivating more excellent professionals in project management.
