The 21st Sports Games & the 30th Anniversary of Xi'an Eurasia University Opens: Chasing the Light Together!

At 9:00 a.m. on September 24, the opening ceremony of the 21st Sports Games & the 30th Anniversary of Xi'an Eurasia University kicked off. Attendees included CPC and administrative leaders of the university, heads of its schools and functional offices, athletes from the youth communities, and representatives of teachers and students. They gathered in the sports field to witness this grand ceremony integrating sportsmanship with educational inheritance. Zhang Junhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Xi'an Eurasia University, presided over the opening ceremony. With the enthusiasm and vitality of the fearless youth at their thirties, he played a prelude to the new decade of Xi'an Eurasia University.

Squad parades: The collision between creativity and inheritance tells the story of Xi'an Eurasia University over the past 30 years. In particular, the cultural squads and creative floats, jointly performed by communities, schools and student clubs, interpreted the university's innovative spirit and educational concept with unique design.

The squads of the national flag, the university flag and the sports games flag were the first to appear on stage, followed by the squad of the sports alliance. Players of basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, ultimate frisbee and other sports, holding the league flag, marched forward at a strong pace, showing the belief of "training talent with sportsmanship through physical education".

The logo "Eu" was shining, symbolizing that students were sailing towards a future of infinite possibilities with their dreams as boats. Through cosplay of characters in the animated film Frozen, they interpreted the spiritual beliefs of the Queens' Land Youth Community. This year, they will continue to uphold the shared values of the youth community and make everyone a "queen" who exercises complete control of her own destiny!

"Pluralitas in Unitatem · Vibrant Team" Float Shows Up! At the age of 30, Xi'an Eurasia University is full of youth. The youth of the Xdea Youth Community is also growing up enthusiastically with an attitude of pursuing "Pluralitas in unitatem"! May this team bring their creative ideas to more places. May Xi'an Eurasia University remain enthusiastic and shining in the next decade.

The "Thirty Years of Harmony" themed float squad featured a creative float designed based on the aesthetics of Eastern mythology. It restated classic legends with modern technology, and also interpreted the will of athletes to swim upstream and break free from constraints for rebirth with shocking visual effects!

After all squads entered the sports field, all teachers and students stood up and sang the national anthem, embodying their love for the country and blessings to the university. Later, Wang Yucheng, a student from the university basketball team, and Qiang Neng, a teacher from the Sports Center of the School of General Education, took an oath on behalf of the athletes and referees in turn, promising to interpret the sports spirit with fair competition and hard work.

At the opening ceremony of the 30th Anniversary of Xi'an Eurasia University, representatives of university leaders, teachers, students and alumni jointly unveiled the logo of the university's 30th anniversary that marks its new journey and new look. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Xi'an Eurasia University officially released its anniversary logo. The logo consists of two semi-circles and one circle to form the number "30", which is full of the sense of "opening and linking". It implies that Xi'an Eurasia University will strive for further development and more achievements in the process of advancing open education and industry-education integration. The logo uses the university's main VI colors, blue, aqua and orange, to interpret the sustainable educational growth power of the university. In terms of the overall structure, the vertical logo is like a milestone, carrying the university's courage and confidence to remain true to its original aspiration and keep moving forward.

Later, Zhao Guohua, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xi'an Eurasia University, delivered an opening speech. Mr. Zhao reviewed the development history of Xi'an Eurasia University over the past 30 years and emphasized the profound impact of the concept of "training talent through physical education" on students' growth. Over the past 30 years, the university has always regarded sports as an important part of holistic education. From a small classroom to the spacious cultural and sports center, from traditional classes to personalized training, we always believe that running and collaboration on the sports field are previews for the future. He mentioned in particular the completion of the West Cultural and Sports Center. This modern venue integrating multiple functions will become a new starting point for teachers and students to explore their potential in sports and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

At the end of the ceremony, the sports club of the School of General Education displayed their achievements through wonderful performances. In recent years, the club has made remarkable achievements in football, basketball, track and field, etc. It has obtained excellent results in various sports competitions for many times, and won wide praise with high-quality physical education and positive social contributions.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Xi'an Eurasia University. Adhering to its motto of "Pluralitas in unitatem" and the spirit of seeking transformation through innovation, with students as the center and innovation as the driving force, the university has deeply practiced the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and striven to serve the surrounding ordinary people and local society well and become a beam of light in the ordinary world. This Sports Games not only features a concentrated display of the achievements in physical education, but also represents the inheritance and promotion of the innovative educational concepts of the university over the past 30 years. We wish the Sports Games a complete success.
