Father of Li Linrun from Class CFA2001 of Undergraduate Finance

Li Limin

"I summarize the teaching characteristics of Xi'an Eurasia University as internationalization, diversification, modernization, inclusiveness, openness, and innovation."

Mr. Li worked for over twenty years as a senior engineer at a university in Xi'an. Throughout the various stages of Li Linrun's growth, Mr. Li has consistently been by his child's side. After starting university, the relationship between the father and son became as close and amicable as that of good friends.

"During high school, Linrun was uncertain about his future, but we always respected and supported his decisions and ideas. During the winter break of his senior year, Linrun learned about Xi'an Eurasia University through various official platforms, and he decided then to apply to the university. During the summer vacation, we were profoundly impressed by the campus environment at Xi'an Eurasia University: meticulously planted greenery around the teaching buildings, dynamic and engaging international teaching spaces, study desks and chairs scattered throughout the campus, where students seamlessly integrate learning and life. The enthusiastic student volunteers we met that day left a lasting impression on us and offered a unique visiting experience." Upon returning home, Mr. Li discussed with his child and decided on the finance major at Xi'an Eurasia University.

"On registration day, Ms. Ding Jie, Director of the International Office, presented the university's international programs. Linrun was deeply drawn to the CFA track's global educational philosophy and career prospects, leading us to apply for a class change without hesitation." Mr. Li remarked that Li Linrun's outstanding growth later validated the correctness of their initial decision. "After commencing the CFA class, Linrun transitioned from his naive and uncertain high school years. He set a new goal to pursue a master's degree at a world-renowned university as a postgraduate, which fills us with great joy."

During his studies in investment-related courses, Li Linrun thoroughly integrated classroom theory with extracurricular practice. In his spare time, he collaborated with several classmates to invest a small amount of capital in learning stock trading, eventually achieving a high return of 39%. "He frequently exchanges investment insights with his professors, discussing financial topics not covered in textbooks." That particular time, while chatting with his son, Mr. Li for the first time sensed his son's transformation and growth.

After four years of dedication, Li Linrun earned an international scholarship and numerous accolades such as "Learning Pacesetter". He successfully passed the CFA Level I exam, which encompasses knowledge in finance, accounting, and economics. During his senior year, Li Linrun was awarded for his excellent graduation thesis and named an honorary (outstanding) graduate. He graduated first in his major, receiving offers from multiple world-renowned universities in Australia. He is now pursuing a master's degree in management at the University of Melbourne.

At the IEF Night and Award Ceremony in June 2024, Li Linrun was invited as the only current student who had passed the CFA Level I examination. "As I spoke with Professor Ding Jie at the venue that day, I recalled how the once young and inexperienced freshman had grown confident, ambitious, and mature. The open and inclusive teaching model at Xi'an Eurasia University allowed Linrun to gain a wealth of experience over his four years there." Mr. Li's words were filled with pride.

Mother of Huang Siqi from Class ACCA2002

Qian Yi

"It was the teacher's diligent supervision and genuine support that facilitated the child's rapid progress."

Mrs. Qian has been in business for over thirty years, and Huang Siqi, influenced by her mother from an early age, developed a keen interest in business. When selecting a university after the college entrance examination, Mrs. Qian noticed the business program at Xi'an Eurasia University. The business education at Xi'an Eurasia University, which deeply integrates internationalization and practical application, captivated Mrs. Qian. After some comparative evaluation, Huang Siqi ultimately decided to major in accounting at Xi'an Eurasia University, with her mother's backing.

When Huang Siqi first entered the university, she did not have a clear goal for the future. During the introductory lecture for new students, Ms. Zhang Wei, Assistant Dean of the School of Accounting, introduced the university's educational philosophy of diverse development and open integration. The concept of "broadening horizons and cultivating an international perspective" quietly sowed a seed in Huang Siqi's mind about "embracing the world beyond". From that moment, she was determined to study abroad for a master's degree.

The ACCA class at Xi'an Eurasia University is conducted in both Chinese and English. Over her four years at the university, Huang Siqi successfully passed the global ACCA exams for BT, MA, FA, LW, TX, and FR, earning the ACCA's foundational business certificate. Under her teacher's guidance, she also took part in a variety of business competitions, earning accolades such as the 2022 College Student Financial Literacy Competition's regular track gold medal in "Accounting Case Analysis", the runner-up in the Digital Management Accounting Competition of the 2022 "Changxiang Cup" National Digital Business Skills Competition, and the second prize in Category C of the 2022 National English Competition for College Students. Additionally, she has received numerous awards at the university, being recognized as an excellent student leader, a study model, and an outstanding ACCA student.

"What deeply touched me was the significant assistance the university provided in helping my child apply for studying abroad. Mr. Wu Peida, from the International Office, meticulously guided my child's study abroad application. With his wealth of experience, he helped us complete all application procedures within a week, making the process both worry-free and efficient. Ultimately, Siqi successfully received offers from three Australian universities: the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, and the University of New South Wales." Mrs. Qian extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers who have supported Huang Siqi's growth.

"At this year's graduation ceremony, I realized that she is no longer the innocent girl she was in high school. She has a clear vision and direction for her life," said Mrs. Qian.

School of Business Administration

Mother of Liu Feiran from Class 2101 of Bilingual Marketing

Lai Linyan

"I always encourage my child to grow in his own way."

Mrs. Lai has been working in the financial sector for 15 years. Throughout Feiran's upbringing, Mrs. Lai has always adhered to respecting her child's own ideas. "I never advocate that children should grow up according to adults' ideas. My educational philosophy aligns with that of Xi'an Eurasia University—foster your unique gifts and talents. Adults only offer suggestions and never impose."

"At that time, Feiran chose to enroll in the bilingual marketing class hoping to pursue master's studies abroad. The bilingual teaching model in both Chinese and English was greatly beneficial for his plans to study overseas. He also has a particular fondness for travel, and I encourage him to explore the world more." During his university years, Liu Feiran traveled alone to Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom. This summer, he also participated in a study tour to Malaysia organized by the School of Business Administration.

(Figure 5) Liu Feiran (first on the left) during the study tour in Malaysia

"I noticed that the most significant change in him at Xi'an Eurasia University is his more proactive learning attitude. In high school, Feiran was not among the students who learned independently. He followed the structured guidance provided by his teachers. However, upon entering college, he developed a clear plan for his future during his freshman year. He actively engaged in school clubs and community activities, setting academic goals for himself each semester. During the summer break, he diligently studied English to thoroughly prepare for the IELTS exam." Mrs. Lai was very pleased when she talked about the changes in her child.

At the School of Business Administration, the freshman management course instructors organized monthly practical activities for students. The entire class divided into groups, with students taking the lead, to independently plan and organize activities. They organized flea market events where students independently bought and sold various small second-hand items, and cultural exchange activities where students selected their favorite countries to learn about their cultures, festivals, and cuisines, promoting these to their peers. These activities have helped Liu Feiran expand his social and organizational skills, and he has developed good friendships with his teachers and classmates. In the promotional video titled "Eurasia Internationalization in Your Mind" for the 2023 Global Language Center Scientific Research and Social Service Month, Liu Feiran appeared to discuss his learning experiences.

"What initially attracted me to Xi'an Eurasia University was its beautiful campus environment, which greatly benefits children's growth and development. It is a vital part of university life and a beneficial condition to ensure high-quality student learning. Secondly, I strongly agree with Xi'an Eurasia University's motto of harmony in diversity. The university respects diverse student ideas, allowing those with different talents to thrive." Observing Feiran's growth and transformation at Xi'an Eurasia University, Mrs. Lai expressed her strong approval of the university.

"Feiran often tells me that he wants to study and grow happily. Xi'an Eurasia University is so beautiful, and it would be hard for him not to feel happy." She hopes that her child can explore a world that truly belongs to him at Xi'an Eurasia University.

Within a family atmosphere and university environment that is full of love and respect, children develop an optimistic and positive outlook, broaden their horizons, and embrace international thinking. The educational philosophy of each family, which emphasizes "continuously opening oneself to the outside world", perfectly aligns with Xi'an Eurasia University's principle of "fostering your unique gifts and talents", enabling more diverse development at the university. May they continue to explore in their respective professional fields and discover better versions of themselves.
