Recently, the Conscription Office of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government jointly issued the Notice on Commending the Advanced Units and Individuals in Conscription Work in Universities in 2021 (SZ [2022] No. 2). Our university was awarded the "Advanced Unit in Conscription Work in Universities in Shaanxi Province in 2021" for the fourth consecutive year.
In recent years, as the government continuously puts forward preferential policies for college students, the enthusiasm of college students to join the army has been increasing. In order to help students who are interested in joining the army realize their dreams, our university has done a lot of fruitful work. Our university attaches great importance to the recruitment of college students every year. Following the requirements in relevant government documents, the school leaders pay great attention and give full support to recruitment. Our university has timely arranged the annual recruitment, actively cooperated with superior military service departments to handle various tasks, and achieved excellent results in 2021. In 2021, a total of 169 college students from Xi'an Eurasia University (54 registered in the university and 115 in the local department) joined the army.
In 2021, the pandemic brought many adverse effects on recruitment work. The university's recruitment team adjusted its working plans promptly, and publicized the recruitment policy in multiple ways through a combination of online and offline channels, so as to mobilize more students in dormitories and classrooms through the network. Our university attached great importance to recruitment, carefully organized it, formulated the recruitment schedule and task map in advance, and shouldered the main responsibility of the recruitment work. It also provided convenient consultation and services for students in mobilization, registration, physical examination, troop selection, troop delivery, retirement and resumption of schooling. In 2021, our university has completed the publicity work and organization of recruiting the conscripts and non-commissioned officers.
In the future, our university will shoulder the responsibility of college student recruitment, create a patriotic atmosphere on campus, encourage the students to pursue their dreams of joining the army, and consciously participate in the great practice of building a strong army and rejuvenating the army. With concerted efforts, close cooperation, dedicated work and strict implementation, we have completed the task of recruiting high-quality soldiers for the modernization of national defense and the army.
