Algonquin College

Introduction

Algonquin College, founded in 1967, has three campuses, all located in Ontario, with convenient transportation. As one of the largest public colleges in Canada, Algonquin College ranks among the top 5 out of more than 150 colleges nationwide and has been rated the number one national college for student satisfaction for consecutive years. The College offers 175 programs and, with national approval, is authorized to confer postgraduate graduation certificates, applied bachelor's degrees, and college diplomas. The secret to employment upon graduation: Every course at Algonquin College is overseen by an Academic Committee consisting of representatives from the government and industry (as employers), professors, and students. Exchange students: An overall IELTS band score of 6.0 or 5.5 (depending on the program); application submitted six months in advance Postgraduate diploma: An overall IELTS band score of 6.5 with no element less than 6.0 Minimum English requirement: An overall IELTS band score of 5.5(plus 4 months of overseas language courses)
