Introduction

The University of New Mexico (UNM) is one of the first prestigious American universities recognized and recommended by the Ministry of Education of China. Founded in 1889, it has a history spanning 131 years. UNM is one of the 50 flagship universities in the United States. Its main campus is located in downtown Albuquerque, a city with nearly one million residents. The university also has campuses in Gallup, Los Alamos, Taos, and Valencia County, and offers graduate and upper-level undergraduate courses in Los Alamos and Santa Fe. The university currently provides 101 undergraduate programs, 81 master's degree programs, and 47 doctoral programs in various disciplines, and is the largest institution of higher learning in New Mexico.
