
Introduction
California College of the Arts (CCA) is one of the top design schools in the United States. It is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, and was established in 1907. It occupied the 6th place in the rankings for design schools at U.S. News in 2016. It is an institute that is specially set up for the education of "artists and designers", and has passed on the concept of "equal importance to theory and practice" for over 100 years. It has two campuses, respectively in downtown San Francisco and Oakland. CCA is known for its design disciplines, with several among the top 10 at U.S. News. Its programs in interior design, interaction, and industrial design are in the top 5 in the United States.
