The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), founded in London, England in 1895, is a world-renowned top public research university. It is a member of the University of London and the Russell Group, and is recognized as a prestigious Golden Triangle and G5 super elite university.
LSE is a university specializing in social science research [6] and enjoys an outstanding reputation in both political and business circles. As of 2016, LSE alumni include 18 Nobel Prize winners and 55 heads of state or government. According to the Research Excellence Framework 2014, LSE has the highest proportion of world-leading research output in the country. The joint survey on the world's richest people by Wealth-X and UBS, published in the same year, revealed that, among all European universities, LSE has produced the largest number of billionaires, and its graduates command the highest average starting salary in the UK [10].
