Introduction

Cardiff Metropolitan University is located in downtown Cardiff, the capital of Wales, UK, and is adjacent to Cardiff University, a member of the world-renowned Russell Group. The university was established in 1865 as the famous University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC). Degrees awarded by the University of Wales are highly respected worldwide, and the teaching and research standards of all its member universities consistently rank among the top British universities. Its current honorary trustee is His Royal Highness Prince Charles, now the Prince of Wales.
