[International cooperation] Meeting with overseas major universities.

At 9 am on March 18th, the representatives of Coventry University in the UK arrived first, and conducted discussions with the vice dean of the School of Culture and Media, Gao Yu, and foreign expert Professor Vitomira Loncar on the possibility of cooperation and exchanges and related matters in the field of culture and media. After the meeting, Daren Pickles, the course director of Coventry University, and Professor Vita brought a wonderful "Cultural Communication" demonstration course to the teachers and students of the School of Culture and Media at the Art Media Workshop of our school. Through the novel and flexible interactive method, the students and teachers participating in the activity experienced a lot of fun from the "English" course.

At 10:00 am, the communication among the University of Central Queensland, Australia and the School of Human Settlement and Environment, and the School of Information Engineering was held in the Administrative Centre. Assistant President Zhang Lefang, Liu Lili, dean of the School of Information Engineering, and Geng Xiaoyi, deputy dean of the School of Human Settlement and Environment, etc. participated in the communication. During the talks, both sides exchanged ideas on how to share resources among various disciplines, including engineering resources. In addition, the representatives of the University of Central Queensland stated that they are very willing to conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation with our university on the PhD project,which provides the opportunity to study abroad to many of teachers and stuffs .

At 3:30 pm on the 18th, representatives from 6 universities of the Northern Union (NCUK), including Sheffield University, University of Leeds, and University of Bradford, arrived at our university. The event officially kicked off. More than 100 students from our school's international community, Xueba community, youth community, and international classes participated in the event. The President Liu Jin addressed the opening ceremony and welcomed the colleagues of British universities to come to our university. Our university is looking forward to conducting various forms of exchange activities with these excellent overseas universities in various fields and practicing the "coffee theory". On the basis of this, we will continue to create an international environment for our university and to help to further promote the construction of the international college.

Later, Katie Fawley, the representative of the University of Leeds, introduced the advantages of the University of Leeds. In addition to the traditional strong business schools, the University of Leeds also has its own specialties in environmental science, medicine and health, arts, humanities and culture. The admissions officer of Sheffield Hallam University, Lucy Jackson, introduced that the university has developed into the sixth largest comprehensive university in the United Kingdom. The school's tourism and hotel management, sports management, architecture and design majors are ranked in the top 20 in the UK, and they have been rated as excellent in 12 subject areas by the Education Quality Assessment Association. Jonathan Pitt of Manchester City University introduced the cultural life of the city of Manchester, and opened up a picture of studying and living at Manchester City University for students. As a comprehensive university with five campuses in Manchester, the school has many achievements in art design and business education. Nina Li, admissions officer of the University of Leeds Beckett, combined with her experience of studying abroad, humorously compared the differences between Chinese and English education for her students, and gave them some ideas on how to improve their personal language skills and how to integrate into local life. Lei Ding, admissions officer of the University of Bradford, introduced the “Three Crowns” (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) certification for business students. As a triple accredited institution, the University of Bradford has ranked 53 out of 127 universities in the UK. The School of Management and Law ranks 59 out of all business schools in Europe. The school organizes students to participate in workshops to write resumes, laying a solid foundation for future workplace struggles. In addition, the school also has an employment service centre to answer questions about future employment-related issues.

At the same time, Xie Tao, dean of the School of Accounting of our university, Wu Rui, dean of the School of Logistics and Trade, Jiang Kai, dean of the School of Finance, Ding Jie, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Centre, had an exchange discussion with Alastair from Bradford University Prof. Wood, Director Ding Lei, Dr. Cindy Wang-Cowhand of Sheffield Hallam University, and Katy Christie, NCUK Regional Manager. Professor Alastair Wood said that the University of Bradford is very much looking forward to cooperating with our school in ACCA and other accounting disciplines to create long-term cooperation projects of various forms and practicalities. Dr. Cindy Wang-Cowhand said that Sheffield Hallam University has established cooperative relationships with a number of universities in Hong Kong, with diverse project operations and relatively mature cooperation methods. They are looking forward to cooperating with our school's related disciplines in the financial field, sharing teaching resources, and providing our school with high-quality educational cooperation. As our school focuses on building the development goals of international business schools, NCUK regional manager Katy and representatives of two other universities expressed their willingness to discuss with our school on the establishment of an international business school curriculum system, the introduction of teachers, and project construction, discussing and sharing with us the experience in building an international business school.

Finally, Ding Jie, deputy director of the Centre for International Cooperation and Exchange, spoke to representatives of overseas universities on behalf of our university: With the advent of the "New April 4" strategy, the internationalization of education has become the general direction of our school's development. The meeting of famous overseas schools is an opportunity to open a new chapter for the development of the university's international strategy. We sincerely look forward to establishing relationships with more outstanding overseas universities and providing more opportunities for teachers and students to go overseas to exchange and further their studies. While the teachers and students benefit from it, they continue to inject new vitality into the international development of our school, so that the "coffee theory" can be truly implemented.
