Co-Creating the Classroom and Focusing on Student Needs

Through the Workshop of Innovative Design that students embrace and enjoy, Liu Xin from the School of General Education brought students on a journey of creative exploration. Liu was committed to listening to students' genuine learning needs and collecting the learning challenges and growth concerns they were facing. Liu guided students to actively participate in joint brainstorming, awakening a sense of mission and significance in studying, which spontaneously led to deep learning.

During the course, Liu Xin guided students to break traditional cognition and redefine learning. In a relaxed learning environment, students shared, in groups, the difficulties and challenges they encountered in their learning lives, and discussed solutions. They used LEGO to construct their ideal learning scenarios. The students actively participated, took initiative in exploration, brainstormed ideas, and co-created innovative outcomes that met their learning expectations. Their perspectives as students provided insights for school educational reforms and optimizations.

Students' Talk:

Under the leadership of Teacher Liu Xin, we deeply interpreted the problem from different perspectives, in different ways, and at different levels. Everyone has clear opinions and innovative viewpoints that directly point out the essence of the problem. Participating in this sub-forum gave me a deeper experience of Foster Your Unique Gifts and Talents proposed by Chairman Hu Jianbo.

— Yang Jinyi, School of Finance and Data Science

Teacher Zhang Na impressed me the most. She explained and answered questions about majors, graduation, employment, and other issues that students were most concerned about. I believe that under the conscientious cultivation of Xi'an Eurasia University, I can also become a qualified college student, shouldering responsibility and making due contributions to social development.

— Liu Ding, School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering

Through the Workshop of Innovative Design, Teacher Liu Xin led us to learn in "games". Everyone spoke freely and put forward their thoughts on learning and growth, which helped us truly explore the problems in our studies and life. For me, I have not only gained knowledge but also made new friends. It was a great honor to participate in this student forum. I believe our school will get better and better!
