Video highlights of the men's basketball team's championship win

On the afternoon of March 18, at the Aoxiang Gymnasium of Northwestern Polytechnical University, the Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University played against the Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Shiyou University. At the moment the final whistle sounded, the score was set at 67:46. The cheerleaders in the audience chanted "Eurasia, champions! Eurasia, champions!" from the stands. The Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University won the championship of the 2nd level league in the 2022 College Basketball League in Shaanxi Province and CUBAL preliminaries.

The competition was jointly hosted by the Federation of University Sports of China and the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government, co-organized by the Students P.E. Association of Shaanxi Province and organized by Northwestern Polytechnical University. The second and third-level leagues each have male and female groups, for a total of 4 groups, which attracted more than 60 universities in the province and 109 teams with 1,975 players participating. The winning teams of each group will represent Shaanxi Province in the CUBAL regional competition.

The Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University sent a lineup of 14 students, including Zhang Qingtao, Zhi Qiang, Wang Zhihan, Kang Yipu, Guo Ziqi, Luo Zhenyu, Zhou Yun, Yellars Muhayati, Chen Shuoyu, Tao Fangcheng, Yang Guoqing, Cheng Yutong, Zhang Jihong, and Ma Yuhang to the competition. Duan Yonggang, the Assistant to the Dean of the School of General Education, served as the team leader, and Liu Qing and Shen Han were the coaches.

Starting from the group stage on March 7, the Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University showed their strength and successively defeated Xi'an International Studies University, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Air Force Medical University, and Engineering University of the CAPF, with a record of 4 wins in 4 matches. In the knockout stage, the Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University defeated Northwest University, Rocket Force University of Engineering, and Northwest A&F University, respectively, and advanced to the finals.

In the finals, our school faced off against Xi'an Shiyou University. In 2022, during the A-level finals of the men's basketball university group at the 17th Games of Shaanxi Province, we defeated Xi'an Shiyou University to win the championship. Encountering an old rival once again, the players were more experienced and confident. At the start of the first quarter, the Men's Basketball Team of Xi'an Eurasia University scored the first 2 points with a fast-break. Then, in a high-intensity offensive and defensive transition, we had frequent success with fast break three-pointers. By the end of the first half, we were leading 36:25. At the start of the second half, both sides played a tight game on offense and defense. We showed no fear and launched attacks from the outside, bringing the atmosphere of the game to a climax with some long-range three-pointers. With the final whistle blown by the referee, we ultimately won the championship with a score of 67:46, defeating Xi'an Shiyou University.
