September is the annual "Teacher Appreciation Month" of Xi'an Eurasia University.

September 10, 2023, is the 39th Teachers' Day in China.

and the original aspiration of education in early autumn.

The Teachers' Day this year was the first one since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Human Resources Department of Xi'an Eurasia University organized a characteristic series of Teachers' Day celebration activities around the theme of "Strengthening the Country as Educators". Through activities such as visits by school leaders, the promotion of ethical teaching practices, and the showcasing of the achievements of outstanding faculty members, heartfelt holiday wishes and care were given to all faculty members, creating a campus atmosphere valuing and respecting teachers. Through these activities, the university expressed gratitude and blessings towards all faculty members for their contributions and dedication, which strengthened the determination and the sense of mission of all faculty members.

School Leaders Visit Frontline Educators and Send Blessings

On the morning of September 8, led by Professor Liu Jin, President of Xi'an Eurasia University, the leaders of the university were divided into four groups to visit faculty members in all the schools and functional departments. They expressed their gratitude to teachers who worked hard and made silent contributions on the front line of teaching and scientific research, communicated with teachers about work and life, sent greetings and blessings to all faculty members, and thanked all the contributors for their efforts and contributions.

Exclusively Customized "With You, with Eurasia" Gifts are Distributed on the Teachers' Day

The Human Resources Department customized exclusive Teachers' Day gifts for all faculty members, including Dupont paper bags with the theme of environmental protection and customized coffee cups, not only sending warmth and energy but also advocating the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development. In recognition of the 10-year and 20-year anniversary of service, the university also presented immortal bouquets and movable-type dark brick tea as gifts to relevant faculty members, expressing gratitude for their steadfastness and companionship over the years and appreciation for their loyalty and dedication. In this way, the university expressed its care for every faculty member and attention to their festival experience, aiming to enhance their sense of responsibility, mission, and honor in teaching and educating.

Special Commemorative Event for the 20th Anniversary of Employment

On the evening of September 8, Xi'an Eurasia University held a "With You, with Eurasia" party in the atrium of the teaching building in the southern district to celebrate the 20th anniversary of employment with outstanding faculty representatives. At the party, about 70 faculty representatives and school leaders who have been working at Xi'an Eurasia University for more than 20 years reviewed the development and changes of the university over the past 20 years as well as their personal growth and changes over the years and reflected on their 20-year practices of steadfast commitment to the original aspiration of education.

Various Publicity and Education Activities and the Display of the Deeds of Outstanding Faculty Members

In early September, the showcasing of team and personal deeds that won honors at or above the provincial level in the 2022-2023 academic year was held in the lobby on the first floor of the library. By showcasing three teams including the "Writing and Expression" course team led by Ms. Lu Zhuoyuan from the School of General Education, 10 teachers' representatives such as Ms. Duan Xiaohua from the School of Finance and Data Science, and other relevant deeds of provincial honorary awards, the university encouraged all faculty members to draw strength and inspiration from excellent role models around them, promoting the inheritance of the educational spirit of "strengthening the country as educators". Education is a warm and great practice. The teachers deserve to be seen.

According to the unified deployment of the Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government and in combination with our arrangement of Teachers' Day activities, we also organized various theme activities to comprehensively demonstrate the sense of responsibility, passion, and dedication of our teachers in their daily work of teaching and education as well as in educational research. These activities included the departmental education and teaching commendation ceremony, lectures on teacher appreciation and the importance of education, teaching experience sharing sessions, faculty workshops, symposiums, and the screenings of teacher-related literary films. These events aimed to promote the values of respecting teachers, the importance of education, and the dedication to education, inspire all faculty members to be confident, strive for excellence, and become both knowledgeable and virtuous educators.

Signing Ceremony of Letter of Commitment on Teacher Ethics for New Faculty Members

All departments of the university have made new faculty members sign a letter of commitment on teacher ethics in different forms and organized new faculty members to take an oath of teacher ethics. By signing the letter of commitment and taking the oath, new faculty members earnestly studied the Code of Professional Ethics for College Teachers and the Ten Codes of Professional Conduct for College Teachers in the New Era. They made a solemn commitment to the teaching profession, which encourages them to further improve their professional ethics level, establish a good teacher image, promote harmonious relationships with students, and foster a harmonious educational environment.

Teachers are the foundation of establishing and developing education, as well as the primary resource for educational development. The Human Resources Department has carried out a series of activities with rich connotations and various forms to celebrate Teachers' Day and the "Teacher Appreciation Month", which have fully demonstrated the spirit of our teachers in cultivating morality and nurturing students as well as the self-confidence and self-improvement of our teachers in the new era and on the new journey. These activities also created a strong atmosphere of care, understanding, support, and respect for teachers, further guided teachers to cultivate a deep sense of patriotism, adhere to the original aspiration of serving the country through education, shoulder the mission of fostering ethical individuals, and take on the responsibility to cultivate well-rounded individuals for the new era. The university aims to constantly lead teachers to practice its school-running philosophy and mission and adhere to the motto of "pluralitas in unitatem". We encourage our teachers to be good teachers with ideals and beliefs, moral integrity, solid knowledge, and a compassionate heart in the new era, show passion for education as well as educational aspiration, ability, and determination, and make new efforts and greater contributions to the university's vision of "becoming the most respected private university in China".
